Get Involved
Community involvement is essential to the success of the Deep Roots Music Festival and our other events. Deep Roots has various workgroups collaborating to get our work done throughout the year.
Our festival line up includes folk, roots, blues and world music. Although we love to bring back favourite performers, in general we try to bring in new acts every year. When we can we like hiring artists who represent our Founding Cultures (Mi’kmaq, Acadian, British Isles, African-Nova Scotian).
The Deep Roots Music Cooperative welcomes your help in the presentation of the Deep Roots Music Festival.
The Festival volunteer program offers opportunities to extend a helping hand in one or more areas that require reliable and committed community support. Volunteers who sign up for three events or serve 15 hours are entitled to a festival pass and a voting membership in the Deep Roots Cooperative.
The Deep Roots Music Cooperative is pleased to provide you with an opportunity to become involved in a vibrant community organization.
Our sponsorship program aims to offer opportunities to gain prominent exposure before and after the festival and to develop special promotions.
