The buzz has been getting around, and we are very excited to officially announce now that Loudon Wainwright III will be with us at this year’s Deep Roots Music Festival (September 28-30, 2012). Loudon is funny, talented and historical. He is also prolific, putting out 21 albums in 40 years! He’s releasing his 22nd this year: Older Than My Old Man Now, on April 17 via 2nd Story Sound Records. He has been nominated for 3 Grammy awards for the albums I’m Alright (1985), More Love Songs (1986) and High Wide & Handsome: The Charlie Poole Project (2009) for which he won the Grammy in 2010 for “Best Traditional Folk Album”.

At the festival Loudon Wainwright III will be performing a full 90-minute set on Saturday night at Convocation Hall.
