Norah Spades & Jitterbug James, husband and wife, are The Vaudevillian. They bring you old prohibition tunes … thank goodness PROHIBITION IS OVER … will make you laugh, blush and dance about, drinking mason jars of “the moonshine” as they play 1930’s Jugband, and Ragtime numbers with washboard, musical spoons, resonator guitar, tenor banjo, mandolin, teapot trumpet & mouth harp. Shine your shoes and get ready to do the Skoodle Um Skoo!
They met at a flea market on the beach of Port Elgin, Ontario and have been hand in hand since. Now based in a little log cabin in the middle of the woods by a river in Nova Scotia, they todate, have three CDs recorded on 1/2” tape, and 1 Double LP Vinyl Record. They tour far and wide and get the audience on their feet bopping about wherever they go. They host interactive Washboard Workshops and Musical Spoon Workshops for up to 50 participants at a time at festivals, corporate events, retirement homes, & schools.
