Hospitality at Deep Roots
Here are some of the resources available throughout the Festival
Deep Roots Festival Club
Your 3-Day or 4-Day Festival Pass gives you access to the Festival Club (at the Lion’s Hall). It’s open Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday morning. The Festival Club is available to performers, volunteers, billet hosts, sponsors, and pass holders to use as “home-base” while at Deep Roots. It’s a place to hang out, have coffee or a snack, and catch your breath. You can join us for our delicious homemade meals ($15 per meal). Let us know in advance so we get our numbers right; email , subject line: Meals at Deep Roots.
First Aid
Many Deep Roots volunteers are trained first aiders and we have emergency numbers and first aid kits at our venues. Need First Aid? Go to the Festival Club or our Concessions Table in the Festival Theatre lobby and ask for help.
Of course, in an emergency, also call 911.
Water Stations
We care about the environment and do our best to eliminate single use plastics for Deep Roots. This means we no longer have plastic cups at our water stations. Please do your part and bring your water bottle or your mug with you and help us be a greener festival. You can fill up your water bottles at our water stations located at the Paddy’s Festival Tent in Waterfront Park, the Festival Theatre lobby, and at the Festival Club (Lions Hall).
Lost & Found
We have Lost & Found stations at our Concessions table, the Festival office, and the Festival Club.
If you can’t find your item there, call the office at 902-542-7668 with a description of the item and your contact info.
Smoke-Free Campus
Acadia University is an entirely smoke-free campus. People who wish to smoke or vape are asked to please stick to the designated smoking zones on Highland Ave (next to the BAC and next to the SUB) and University Avenue (next to Rhodes Hall). We appreciate your cooperation.
RV Camping
Enjoy the Deep Roots Music Festival with your RV accommodations only steps from the Main Stage shows. We are pleased to offer limited RV camping in the heart of Wolfville. Note: You must have purchased at least two DRMF weekend passes for each RV booked. Contact Ellen or Jim at or visit this link for more details.
Festival Stewards
Among Deep Root’s values is an abiding respect for people, land, and culture. We know that to work towards our goals of inclusivity, meaningful connections between cultures, and establishing safe spaces for community groups, artists, and audiences, we must work together with the broader community to dismantle oppression and racism in everything that we do. Our Festival Stewards are in the lobbies of our shows to help you help us take care of our place here, and to help take care of you. They’ll answer any questions you might have about our values, your experience with the festival, our environmental footprint, and everyone’s health and safety.
Here are just a few examples of how our Festival Stewards might help:
- Ensure that our sound level policy is being followed to minimize discomfort and to mitigate the risk of hearing damage
- Help folks to figure out how to sort garbage
- Aid people with accessibility issues
- Explain our “Respect for All” policy
- Assist those with an issue to submit an occurrence report
- Oversee health and safety protocols
- Provide info to guests regarding all things Deep Roots
