Deep Roots Music Festival 2026 – Click a photo for more info!
It’s over for another year, folks. Our 20th festival was wonderful in many ways. Our Raise the Roof show on Thursday drew a big audience to enjoy Matt Andersen, Joce Reyome and Lloyd Speigel; the show was terrific. The Welcome Ceili was lots of fun. People loved our participatory workshops and Saturday night we had a great community dance. Our Main Stage concerts, song circles and Sunday’s Rise Up Singing all gave us wonderful tunes to roll around in our brains for the fall. Our Saturday parade at noon took us from the Clock Park to our festival tent at Waterfront Park for free family entertainment. The Festival Finale included the presentation of the Valley Arts Award to Anna Marie and Don Osburn, as well as recognition of 16 of the previous 22 recipients who were represented in our audience. The food in our Festival Club was fresh and local and delicious! We raised over $2200 for the local food bank, and our WestJet Raffle brought in over $5500 for Deep Roots. Thank you to everyone who played a part in celebration of our 20th festival – and to all the music lovers out there, Deep Roots is for you! :-) We hope to see you at next year’s festival: September 24th to 26th, 2027.
