Harmony Workshop – Saturday Sept. 26
Singer-songwriter, church organist, and music therapist Rebecca Fairless has been a part of the Deep Roots community in various roles for over ten years. After making a musical start in her home province of Alberta, Rebecca moved to Wolfville to study music at Acadia, where she immediately signed up as festival volunteer.
Since 2019, Rebecca and fellow music therapist Sarah McInnis have been facilitating the Saturday morning Harmony Workshop. With a focus on spontaneity, accessibility, and gorgeous multi-part sounds, the workshop is a space where singers of all abilities are gently encouraged to push beyond their comfort zone and lift their voices and hearts together. Rebecca currently lives in Halifax and performs with folk ensemble The Dusty Halos.
